That's the recipe in the background with a paragraph explaining who Posada was, with his well-known Calavera Catarina featured.<\/p><\/div>\n<h3><span style=\"color:#993300;\">PB Posadas<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Background:<\/strong><br \/>\nJos\u00e9 Guadalupe Posada (1852\u20131913) was a Mexican artist whose best known works are his stylized calaveras (skeletons and skulls) that have become associated with D\u00eda de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The images originally appeared in broadsides and newspapers in the late 19th century often satirizing the life of upper class society, and his work continues to influence the work of modern day printmakers and artists today. These chocolates were formed in moulds designed in the style of Posadas\u2019 calaveras.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><br \/>\n2 cups powdered sugar<br \/>\n2 cups graham crackers (crushed)<br \/>\n1 cup butter<br \/>\n2 cups peanut butter<br \/>\n*********************************<br \/>\n1 lb (or more) dark chocolate (for filling back of mould)<br \/>\n1 lb (or more) white chocolate (for coating bottom of mould)<br \/>\nWhite sparkle luster dust (for decoration if desired)<br \/>\n*********************************<br \/>\n<strong>Assembly<\/strong><br \/>\nMelt white chocolate in double boiler over low heat.<br \/>\nMeanwhile mix up peanut butter filling (1st 4 ingredients).<br \/>\nMelt dark chocolate in double boiler over low heat.<\/p>\n<p>Coat bottom of moulds with melted white chocolate.<br \/>\nFreeze briefly to firm, then push in a ball of pb mix into each mould.<br \/>\nFill each mould to the brim with melted dark chocolate.<br \/>\nFreeze briefly to make it easy for chocolates to be released from mould.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Decorate<\/strong><br \/>\nBrush face of calaveras lightly with lustre dust if desired.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Had fun making these for a chocolate bake-off.
